Tenth and final tape in the "MONSTERS" series out on the Italian label "PISS PINK TAPES" run by Lilian Pelizzari Giust.
For the last tape in such series PPT is going for the re-release of a rare and very limited mini CDr by preminent HARSH WALL NOISE project:
THE RITA.
Rarer example of THE RITA material as Sam McKinlay
negotiates a more 'technically complex' analog gear set-up.
Rather than otherwise deconstructing and investigating the
holes between the sharp texture strikes during lines of heavily processed source sounds, here McKinlay
focuses more on the violence possible from synth and pedal chain manipulation to play witness to
different lines charging against each other.
The generating (and degenerating) accelerations of the
various pulsing and modulating craggy tones result in different explosions that define the work with
more of a classic 90s Japanoise feel, but with just enough of THE RITA's personal pursuit of the
Italian mid 90s sound to make it an important venture for the artist.
