TIFFAUGES is a small village in the west
of France and the title of the first 7inch of HERMANN KOPP, German composer of
Nekromantik fame.
The Tiffauges castle was the home of GILLES DE RAIS, a
medieval knight who used his power and influence to lure children into his
castle, abuse and kill them, a story related by Joris K.Huysmans and Jean
Genet, among others.
The first track, GILLES DE RAIS, has a
song structure and talks of the joy of a young village boy who is invited to
the castle, without knowing what awaits him.
The second track, LE CHATEAU, is
instrumental, using electric viola and keyboards, partially played reverse.
Limited edition of 200 copies.
